"There is no ship to carry me into the new era" - Edward Newgate
Our servers are closed.
The One Piece Factions Discord and Minecraft server are closed indefinitely after ~6 years of service.
This website now serves as a general blueprint for future One Piece servers, mainly based around the Mine Mine no Mi mod. Here you can learn how to setup/run a Minecraft server.
We also provide instructions on setting up a VPS (superior server running) with commands and example code |
Our story
Firstly, massive shoutout to all my staff who helped me greatly over the many years: Yato, Lach, Corasan, Yugi, Prince, Lucifer, Domo, BurningBeast, NAI, Narutosixpage, Akuma, Lenny, BigB, JJ, Diamond, MrWorld, Kit, Slime, Spag, Grey.
I appreciate all of you and the good times we had together... It's been a hell of a ride. Thanks for making this place a home, I love ya.

Back in 2014 I found Wynd's Mine Mine no Mi on https://www.minecraftforum.net/. I started the original One Piece Factions Discord 20/09/2014, between episodes 661 and 662.
I've sacrificed most of my free time over many years maintaining and improving the server. At our peak, just before we closed, we had:
700+ players join
At least ~20 members joining the Discord daily
~50 players play daily
~200 unique players play in the week
We were half way through a reset (resets last 2 months) at the time of recording the above.
I think the most players I saw joined (total) in a reset was ~2,000+, but that was when a reset was 3 months and we didn't have a whitelist.
I can only list so many things, so here's a few of the things I did/created over the recent years:
- Optimized the server in performance almost completely using a certain startup script, various mods, and a good host
- Discord bot to show server-status, manage circulation, run Minecraft commands, display a bounty-board, leaderboard, and history
- Poneglyph mod (exploring, events, creating towns, getting belli, etc)
- One Piece Factions mod (player tracking, unbreakable blocks, home commands, Oden/Orochi/Kaido clothing, etc)
- Dressrosa mod (wither spawner)
- OPF Ticks mod (detecting & dealing with lag)
- The Silencer (block players from chat)
- FishyBusiness (fix MMnM config resets)
- Managed Patreon things such as polls, ranks, nicknames, roles, and journals
- Switched to VPS
Before any of this, we ran on 1.7.10, using Cauldron with CustomNPC, Holograms, Twilight Forest, Tinkers' Construct, etc. We did a lot of customizing with NPCs, items, and builds. A massive thanks to my first ever staff member Yato who contributed so much back then ~[2015 - 2017] and was a great right-hand man
I've liaised with Wynd on many, many bugs in the MMnM mod. Mostly thanks to our playerbase who found them to begin with! We've made a nice impact on the MMnM mod until now. Wynd's a great guy and a hard worker. Deserves all the praise and respect for maintaining such a large community and mod. Check his mods and Patreon if you want to!
We ended the server 30/4/2022, between episodes 1015 and 1016
Anyway, I thank you all so much for playing the server! I'm very sorry to cut it so short but that's life my friends :)
To all the players... Be mindful of the servers you join and their owners.
To all the server owners... You want my guidance? You can have it. I left it all here... Or at least, what I can remember.

What we didn't accomplish
We didn't get to accomplish some of the things we wanted to do. I will outline them here, and I know you server owners out there will carry our goals on your shoulders whether ya know it or not.
In terms of general server, the end goal was always to run Mine Mine no Mi on SpongeForge, rather than just Forge. As of writing this, MMnM is currently on 1.15.2. Soon it will be updated to 1.16.5, which will be Sponge compatible. Using Sponge you can run plugins and mods in the same environment and the potential is amazing, check out Sponge stuff here!
With Sponge you can use a lot of advantages Bukkit servers have, such as permission management, proper essentials plugins, holograms, chat plugins, protection plugins, and more.
Sponge aside, we also wanted to create more One Piece related maps. The one we managed to create recently was Dressrosa.
We wanted to host more PvP events specifically, so that players can exercise the abilities and stats they've farmed for.
To add classic mods such as Tinkers' Construct and Twilight Forest.
And to make our Discord's bounty-board more robust & balanced, improve the leaderboard to include Yonkos, and continue to write our history.
If you've read each page on this website, you now have knowledge of our server, our history, and our goals.
Surpass us. Peace.
